Welcome to The Education Foundation, an initiative of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. The Education Foundation was founded in 1995 to improve the region's economy by fostering a strong public education system. The foundation believes that partnerships between the business community and the schools can contribute to positive change and help prepare all students for success in the workplace.

The programs and initiatives set forth by the foundation illustrate a solid track record of success in creating opportunities in businesses and industry for students and educators. We are grateful for the many businesses that have opened their doors to students for job shadowing, job rotations, or internships and who encourage their employees to visit schools to participate in career awareness activities.

As we move into the second decade of The Education Foundation, our challenge is to grow in such a way that we maintain quality as we sustain and extend school and business partnerships. Our vision is to see 100% of the region's high school students graduating prepared for success in the world of work.
